These Terms of Service govern your use of the Sanki app and related services. By using Sanki, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, you should not use the app or services.

2. The Service

Sanki is a language-learning service that allows users to create study decks, track review progress, synchronize data across devices, and use AI-assisted learning features.

  • you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement;
  • you will use the service in compliance with applicable law; and
  • you are not under 13 years of age.

4. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your account information reasonably accurate and up to date.

You may be responsible, to the extent of your own fault or negligence, for activities that occur under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, please contact us.

5. User Content

As a general rule, you retain ownership of the content you upload, create, or submit through Sanki.

However, to operate the service, you grant us a limited license to host, copy, synchronize, technically process, and make that content available across your devices as needed to provide the service.

6. AI Features

Sanki may provide AI-powered translation, explanation, chat, and related features.

With respect to AI features:

  • AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.
  • AI output is not professional legal, medical, financial, or similar advice.
  • You should not enter sensitive personal data, Turkish national ID numbers, addresses, phone numbers, payment data, or health data into AI fields.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Sanki if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or if doing so is necessary to protect the service or other users.

You may also delete your account from within the app. Account deletion initiates deletion of associated data.

9. Changes to the Service

Sanki may change, update, limit, or discontinue all or part of the service over time. We do not guarantee that any specific feature will always remain available.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sanki is provided "as is" and "as available."

We disclaim all express and implied warranties, including any warranty that:

  • the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free;
  • data will always be preserved without loss in every circumstance; or
  • AI outputs will always be accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

Subject to mandatory law, Sanki will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or harm arising from reliance on AI output.

This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted. Continued use of the service may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Payments, Subscriptions and Refunds

Payments

Purchases and subscriptions made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple using your Apple Account and payment method. Sanki does not directly process your Apple App Store payment card information.

Subscription pricing, billing period, and the applicable price are presented through the App Store purchase interface before purchase. For purchases made through other app stores, the payment rules of the applicable store apply.

Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

Apple App Store subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled according to Apple's subscription terms. You can manage or cancel Apple App Store subscriptions through your Apple Account or App Store subscription settings. See Apple's subscription cancellation instructions.

Cancelling renewal prevents future renewal charges but does not automatically mean that an already processed payment will be refunded.

Refund Policy

Refund eligibility for purchases made through the Apple App Store is determined and processed through Apple's refund system and applicable consumer protection laws. Certain purchases may be eligible for a refund. Refund eligibility may depend on the circumstances, the applicable App Store rules, and applicable consumer protection laws.

To request a refund, use Apple's refund request system:

  • 1. Sign in with your Apple Account.
  • 2. Select "Request a refund."
  • 3. Select the relevant Sanki purchase or subscription.
  • 4. Submit the request.

You can also read Apple's Korean refund instructions. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights.

Taxes and VAT

Apple handles App Store billing and applicable taxes. For purchases made through the Apple App Store in South Korea, applicable taxes charged by Apple, including Value Added Tax (VAT / 부가가치세) where applicable, are included in the final amount charged by Apple according to the App Store billing process and applicable law. Any separate fees charged by a bank or card issuer are outside Sanki's control.

Additional Information for Users in South Korea
